What Cause Swelling Of Tonsils?

hi , my boyfriend left tonsil is quite enlarged and i am very afraid hoping it is not cancer or anything. he uses an inhauler often , and he said one day he was at the very last bit of his inhauler , but was still using it , and thats when his tonsils started to get swolen. is it because of the inhauler?

Thanks for your query. I have gone through your query. As far as the swelling in the tonsil is concerned, it can be because of the peri tonsillitis abscess secondary to bacterial infection. It is not because of the spray. Nothing to be panic. You can consult an ENT surgeon and get it evaluated. Meanwhile you can take a course of antibiotics like ciprofloxacin (if you are not allergic ). Do saline gargling. I hope I have answered your query. Take care
