Hi,

I cannot say in your particular case and the type and location of the pain is an indicator of where the pain is from. This is where a nerve goes at the top of the spine. Burning is often due to a nerve problem. A pinched nerve at C1 often causes pain going up the back of the head and usually shoots, goes up and down a lot, and often has an electrical or temperature component.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
