What Cause Pink Discharge During 8 Weeks Pregnancy?

I am 8 weeks 6 days pregnant. Due January 9th. This would be my first pregnancy. I woke up this morning.and when I peed there was pink discharge that come out. A few hrs later more came out. Its a pale pink and now I m wearing a panty liner. Is this normal? I tried calling my Dr and they re closed.

Pinkish discharge around 8 to 10 weeks of pregnancy is quite common in some individuals. This is called as placental bleeding. It will subside on its own.

If the discharge increases and if its fresh bleed accompanying with pain abdomen, you need to consult the gynecologist as soon as possible, to rule out miscarriage or ectopic pregnancy rupture.
