What cause of pain in pelvic area ?

I am a 29 year old female. During intercourse a week and a half ago, it was somewhat painful, the pain was above my pubic bone to the right a little. A week later and the pain is still here, only when I move a certain way. It also sometimes feels like it has moved to my side and to my lower back and sometimes even in my hip. I do not really even consider this a pain, more of an uncomfortable sensation. I have regular periods, but they tend to be heavy and painful. I have no other symptoms. No nausea , fever, bloating , constipation , fatigue, not anything. I have 3 children. I started birth control pills ( Ortho Tricyclen Lo) about a month ago, and I just started my period yesterday. I can say that this period (after taking my BC Pills for a month) has been a breeze. Hardly any premenstrual symptoms or cramping. Other than the pain, I feel great! Just curious as to what this nagging annoyance could be.

hello
welcome to health care magic.
you should get yourself examined by a gynaecologist . it could be some pelvic infection. you should get it examined. also get a ultrasound done of the pelvis. do not worry, even if it is an infection it will get cured with medicines but please do not start any medication without getting a proper gynaecological check up.

I have had this left lower pelvic pain for almost two months now. sometimes it becomes severe and sometimes bearable, but bothersome at all times. Just recently went to get ob/gyn and went for 2nd round of sonogram..please interpret this diagnosis for me. The pain is ongoing and very bothersome.. PELVIC WITH TRANSVAGINAL SONOGRAM History: Left lower pelvic pain Multiple real-time sonographic images of the pelvis were obtained in multiple projections using the transabdominal as well as transvaginal approach to better delineate the intrapelvic structures. The uterus is retroverted and appears slightly heterogeneous however a discrete lesion evident. The uterus is normal in size measuring 6.6 x 3.7 x 5.1 cm. The endometrial stripe is normal measuring 0.9 cm in greatest thickness. The right ovary measures 3.2 cm in diameter. The left ovary measures 4.2 cm in diameter. There are multiple subcentimeter follicular cysts. There is slight increased echogenicity of the central stroma a constellation of findings which can be associated with polycystic ovarian disease. Within the left ovary however centrally the presence of an ovoid 2.0 x 1.3 x 2.0 cm is. Neither ovary demonstrate solid complex lesions. There is no free fluid. The remainder of the study is unremarkable. Impression: Retroverted slightly heterogeneous uterus Multiple Peripheral subcentimeter follicular cysts throughout both ovaries with slightly echogenic central stroma a constellation of findings which can be seen in polycystic ovarian disease, however are normal in size. I am experiencing pain in the left pelvic area also directly across in the back. Pain radiates midway up the left back . Area on that side just above the hip bone is swollen and very painful if I sit too long. Sometimes unable to sleep on the left side, feels like I am lying on an uncomfortable lump. History of fibroids and retroverted uterus.

I had unprotected sex on june 9th. and again on june 12th with the same guy. We are both clear of std's, but I have been pregnant before with twins and miscarried. When I was supposed to get my period (june 19th) there was some spotting and some pink discharge, as well as some burning during urination. I have had a horrible migraine for 3 days now, and I was nauseous all day today when I was trying to bake, but I also just had surgery on my jaw, and thought that could be the trigger of my nauseousness. Do you think I am pregnant?

I had unprotected intercourse with my boyfriend on May 18, '13 (May 10 - start of my period) which is may last day of regular menstruation. No ejaculation happened inside me and my bf confirmed that. I'm getting paranoid cause I'm not yet ready to get pregnant so i researched some contraceptives and Nordette is the only available here in our country. So I took nordette 21(4 pills) and another 4 pills after 12 hrs, within 72 hrs after our intercourse. After 4-5 days (May 24), I got a withdrawal bleeding which happened for 4 days. I haven't got my period yet (June 9 or 10, '13) and I'm two weeks delay now. I haven't take a PT yet. Is there a chance that I'm pregnant? How long does Nordette can delay a period? Please reply to my question 'coz it will really help me to stay calm and not to worry. Thank you.
