Thanks for asking the query,

Erruption of milk teeth in your child occurs in the age of 6-7 months in some cases delay in the erruption can be seen.

The delay can be due hard gum pads, structural abnormalities, nutritional deficiencies, cleft lip or palate, absence of the gum pads.

I would suggest you to take your child to teh Child Specialist and get the checkup done, also take an x-ray to see the position of the errupting teeth.

Hope this helps out,

the normal age for tooth eruption is 6-7 months for primary tooth(lower incisors being the 1st one to errupt ) ,which may be delayed upto the age 15-16 months age in some children due to various reasons including deficiency of calcium etc
so what i would suggest is that you can wait for 1-2 months and if still it does not come than you can have a visit to your dentist and have a radiographic examination done
hope thats not the case with your child but cases of partial or full anodontia have been seen
so in the mean while what i would suggest is that give your baby some nutritional supplements that contains calcium
best wishes

hi...normal timing, when the baby first start having teeth eruption is 6 to 7 months. But in a few cases it may be delayed by another 6 or 7 months for some local reasons. As your baby is now almost 14 month old, teeth must be on their way in oral cavity by maximum of next one or two months. you can feel them by rubbing against the gums of the teeth, which appers swollen and with slighted elevation of crown portion, that can be felt.

the reason for teeth coming late are largely because of firm gingivae (soft tissue overlying teeth). the other rare causes may hormonal disturbances/ metabolic disturbances, lack of teeth and sometimes systemic problems/ or cleft lip and palate patients, down syndrome, ectodermal dysplasia to name a just few.

Also, Kindly pay attention on skin/ nails and hair of the baby. if they are normal, there is little to be worried about.

if still it doen't happen, ask for a dentist opinion, who can perform a xray of jaws and can make sure presence of the teeth

Thanks for posting your query.

Usually teeth starts erupting at the age of 6-7 months.

Delayed eruption of teeth can be due to any skeletal abnormalities.

In few cases, normally eruption of teeth becomes delayed.

Please do visit a dentist and get clinical as well x-ray evaluation done.

Take care.

Thanks for writing to health care magic.
I can understand your concern.
Teeth appear at a varying age from 4 months to 18 months. So the I suggest you should visit your paediatrician once to rule out any problem and decrease you anxiety and worry.

welcom to healthcare magic , condition wich you are describing is known as delayed milestone. there is no need to worry much about it ,many children are suffering from this problem of delayed milestone. i would advice you to consult homoepath for this and the problem will be solved very soon with homoeopathic medication.

thanks for choosing healthcare magic
primary teeth/baby teeth normaly appear any where between 3 to 15 months most typicaly between 4 to 9 months.remember that every child has his own pace.nothing to worry but you have to consult your paediatrician bcoz in hypothyroidism like condition can cause a delay in teething.a delay in mile stone is different ie if yor babies developmental milestones eg;social smile, head control, sitting are delayed and is very important.

Hi, wait till 1 and half year, in maximum cases during this period teeth may be seen. Mean while, you can start using a homeopathic medicine called 'FIVE PHOS' which will help for our kind to attend upcoming milestones very soon.
