What Cause Black Colour Stool?
My motion is black in colour for the past 2 days. I passed motion at least 6-7 times today. No pain the abdomen. But a discomfort relating to gas is there. Was consuming alchohol, for the past 8 months.SGPT/ALT levels were perfect in the tets taken in December 2011

need detailed evaluation for the black stool. I hope u don't have any complaints of vomiting with blood , abdominal distension . are u taking iron tablets? I will recommend u the following investigations
blood cp
serum Bilirubin
stool for occult blood
Hep b and Hep c serology
usg abdomen
