What Can Cause Tight Stomach In Asthma Case Of 3 Years Old Child?

my 3 year old son's stomach is tight all the way to his ribs. He has no pain, a little diarreah and has had normal bowel movements the last two days. His stomach looks enormous, tight. He had a 24 hour stomach bug last Thursday and has had the flu recently. He has asthma and allergies and is on a steriod for croup which he has taken numerous times before. No new medicines.

Hello,

If no any kinds of symptoms are there like pain, fever, nausea, or vomiting, then it is nothing to worry, and if you want to clear the doubt then clinical examination is must, tight abdomen in pediatric age could be physiological condition and not the illness if does not have any pre-existing condition, without clinical examination it is difficult to say anything but in absence of symptoms.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
