I was diagnosed with malaria and prescribed maxlumforte, for 4-5 days by first physician. I changed the doctor, and second doctor asked for chest xray and blood tests that revealed bronchitis of chest, symptoms were, cough high fever, nausea, diarrhea, red eyes, skin rash and swelling of face. Doctor prescribed me Cefiget 400mg/twice daily besides continuing maxlumforte for malaria. I consulted the third physician because I wasnt satisfied with the doctors attention to my problem. Third doctor asked for retesting malaria and dengue test, both were negative. So stopped maxlum forte. However test revealed low platelets count 140, sgpt 97. Hr immediately gave new prescription of cravit 250 mg/twice daily. Second test revealed platelets back to normal range 160 however increased sgpt 124 and normal sgot 45, bilirubin normal, but high gama gt of 66IU normal range is
my Hav Igm is negative and HBs Ag is negative, but i am worried about my sgpt increase from 97 to 124 in less than four days. Please advice what can be the cause, before all this I also had gastro allergy as I drank over 6 shots of alcohol after 10 years. my age is 29 and smoke only 2-3 cigarets per day.
