What Can Cause Spotting While Trying To Conceive After Consuming Coumadin And Prothrombin?
I am currently TTC and have been having spotting since 12/23/13. My last period was 12/3/13. My cycles are normally 28-31 days. I have been using OPKs since CD 9 but never received a positive result. I am only 24 and am worried I did not ovulate. I also take Coumadin daily for Factor V Leiden and Prothrombin. My levels were fine 3 weeks ago and I haven't changed my diet or exercise. What can cause the early spotting?
Hi, Thanks for the query. Intermenstrual spotting can be seen due to causes like : Hormonal imbalance. In case of irregular shedding or irregular ripening of endometrium, intermenstrual spotting can be seen. Sometimes during ovulation spotting can be seen. But as your ovulation kit has not shown positive results, this possibility is less. Thyroid hormonal abnormalities etc can also lead to menstrual irregularities. As your factor v etc levels are normal, that may not be a cause for your problem. Consult gynecologist once, get examined and go for ovulation induction with her advice. Take care.
