What Can Cause Severe Pain In The Arm?

last Night I was at the club with my friends. Like normal people my age, we obviously chose a game that involved diving. I fell over and instinctively put up my ‘recently broken’ arm and put down my other, as I don’t want to injure my arm again. My right arm then flooded with pain, similar to the pain of a break. I thought I had broke it.I couldn’t get up and it hurt to put weight on my arm, but my wrist didn’t hurt. It cooled off after a while, but still hurts. My wrist doesn’t hurt though. It was my hand. It’s been about 15 hours now, and it still hurts. I’ve been icing it. Any ideas about what happened?

Hi,

You might have succumbed a tendon or a ligament injury. You have to consult an orthopaedician and get evaluated. An MRI scan may be required to evaluate tendon involvement.

As of now apply ice packs and you can take analgesics like Ibuprofen or Diclofenac for pain relief.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
