What Can Cause Pain On The Base Of The Ribcage Towards The Left Side?

I am a massage therapist and my client has had the same pain for months when I massage his back. His pain is mostly on his left side at the base of his ribs but he also experiences a less painful version on the right side as well. He says his doesn t bother him until I start really prodding that area. He has had his kidneys checked and his doctor said that was not the concern. He is a 65 year old man, and I am at a loss as to what the pain is. Any help is GREATLY appreciated!

Hello,

The symptoms are more consistent with inflammatory conditions like costochondritis.

As of now, you can use analgesics/anti-inflammatory combination like Aceclofenac/Serratiopeptidase for symptomatic relief.

if symptoms persist better to consult a physician and get evaluated,

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
