What can cause pain and discomfort in the legs while walking?

Hi, was putting on a pair of jeans and, as I stepped in to them , my left leg seemed to get pulled. The inside of my leg aches as well as the back (by the bending joint) and I feel some pain and discomfort when walking. I put on a compressed bandage and that makes it feel better . Any ideas?

Hi,

It may be a ligament sprain or minor contusion.

You can apply ice packs for symptomatic relief and take analgesics like Acetaminophen or Tramadol also.

Generally, the symptoms will settle in a couple of days.

If symptoms persist, better to consult an orthopedician and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Hi I fell over a week ago, thought I landed more on my right side and that my shoulders took most of the brunt of the fall from landing on my forearms, I didn t think i d injured my left side as much. I know I knocked my left leg as well but from the next day onwards I ve had localized pain in top of left thigh and hip when walking and resting. Also a little boy sitting on the floor at my baby s party accidently knocked into the same leg with his head and what would normally cause not much discomfort did infact cause awful pain in that leg - the only way to describe it... it felt as though from my knee upwards had been pushed out of place (it hasn t) but it s now very painful to walk. Can also feel pain in the same localised area when my 6yr old and 1yr old sit on my lap... hip is also still quite painful. I m thinking it s just badly brused on the inside and wondered how long recovery would take... Would appreciate any advice you could offer - thank you

I have been sedentary for quite a while and now feel well enough to start walking again. However, I am having severe leg pain when I walk. I am a 55 year old female with diabetes. Do I just need to tough it out till I get used to walking again or is this something serioius that I need to discuss with my doctor?
