Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Female-I had a MRI done on my right bicep after noticing the right bicep is approx. 1/2 inch smaller in diameter than the left. There is also an indentation at upper muscle section. The left, with a bicep curl is equal in width, however the right arm muscle has a dip at the upper portion of the right bicep with a weight curl. I presumed I tore it when I had an injury after a dog fall 2 years ago and trouble raising my right arm straight above my head for about a year. But, the MRI was normal. Is it possibly a strain?
I will advise to Do gradual strenthening exercises to relieve indentation.
If swelling and bruise is not reducing and giving pain while I will advise you to further investigate for the cause of swelling. I will advise you to do contrst 3 TESLA MRI and Ultrasound of the swelling. Partial tear can be managed conservatively with physiotherapy with USG and TENS.
Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.
Wishing you good health.
Take care
