My son has a fever of about 101 he just threw up, he feels achy and his throat is a bit sore and he says his ears hurt. Any idea what this could be or what we should be looking for? we have been giving him Tylenol for his fever and pain. Thank you

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hi,

It may be due to viral pharyngitis with myalgia.

Avoid cool drinks and cold water. Use water vapor inhalation and salt water gargling thrice a day for five days.

Use tablet Paracetamol and Cetirizine. Use antibiotic like Amoxiclav.

If symptoms not improved please consult your ENT specialist/physician, he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
