What Can Cause Dizziness And Nausea After Running On The Treadmill?

When I go to the gym, I can be running on the treadmill for 30-40 minutes alternating from 1 minute runs and 2 minutes of walking and when I’m done I get dizzy and nauseous, but I can go play full court basketball and do back to back games without issue (other than breathing heavily of course). What could be causing this?

Hi,

Your dizziness could be due to overexertion. Our body utilizes glucose fastly when we run or do strenuous activities. So due to hypoglycemia, you can have dizziness. I suggest you take some light breakfast or banana-like fruit 30 minutes before doing treadmill to avoid such problem.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Parth Goswami,
