What can cause cold sensation and soreness in the ankle?

For about 2 weeks my Achilles tendon was hurting when I walked. After walking a while it would go away. Well the other day I woke up and no more pain, I thought that it had fixed itself. Today I am getting a cold sensation in my ankle and slight soreness. Not sure what is going on.

Hi,

It can be due to minor contusions or ligament sprain.

As a first line management, you can take analgesics like Ibuprofen or Diclofenac for symptomatic relief.

Apply ice packs and if symptoms persist, better to consult an orthopedician and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

My toes feel cold and damp mainly in my left foot. My right foot has some of the same symptoms but not as bad. I have RA and some bone and joint damage in my feet. I am taking Humira, Methotrexate, Lyrica and prednisone. The cold sensation also radiates up the top of my foot almost to my ankle. Thanks

a few months ago I hurt one toe from the right foot. It has been hurting since then. Last week I also hurt my right ankle. I think I hurt it when I when down to pick up something while carrying my 22 months old son. Both, toe and ankle are still hurting. Today I woke up with a weird cold sensation on the right knee. It is not cold when I touch it but it feels cold and wet... Is it all related?

I went to the er on Wed. around 4am , they took xrays andbtold me my ankle was sprained. they gave me some pain medication and a plastic ankle brace. they told me to use the RICE method , and I have been. But the next day I woke up and the swelling had spread. so I continued the RICE method. They told me that if the swelling didn t go down in 3-5 days I need to see an orthopedic. But at the moment, my foot is cold and I have a numb burning sensation . What is the cause if this? Should I go ahead and schedule an appointment with the orthopedic?
