What Can Cause Bleeding In Left Ear?

Several months ago I noticed a greenish fluid on the q tip after cleaning my left ear. I went to the doctor and was treated for an ear infection...the last two days after showering I used a q tip in my ears and blood was on the q tip both days from my left ear only...not sure what this could be...any suggestions??? Thank you...

Hi.
You have chronic ear infection, bleeding in these cases is due to granulations. Granulations are body reactions which are seen in chronic infections and where bone is bare and infected. You need to get your ear examined. This chronic infection can be safe or unsafe type. Safe type can be treated with medicine with or without surgery, but unsafe type will need surgery and if delayed, infection can spread beyond ear in unsafe type which can turn dangerous.
