Faster heart beat may be due to anxiety or may be due to heart rhythm disturbance. It may also occur due to diseases such as hyper activity of thyroid or too much intake of coffee. ECG which is a simple investiagtion will usually reveal serious heart condition. Simple physical examination may also help to rule out certain diseases. Hence it is better to kindly consult a physician. There is no need for concern. Fast heart beats can be very well treated.
