What Can Be The Cause Of Pain About A Week Before Menstruation?

Hi for my past two periods, I have had period like pain about a week before I'm due. When it finally starts it is light no clotting and short. Stomach is bloated. I am worried why I am having these pains way before my period is due have never experienced this before, could it be cysts or something else.

OB & GYN Specialist 's  Response
Hi,

This could be due to anemia also. Pain sometimes will be there during premenstrual period. If you are spotting and then bleeding then it could be because of hormonal changes. Consult a gynecologist once to rule out other anatomical abnormalities of the uterus, endometrium and ovaries.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
