Hello

When we test for rubella we cheak for 2 things, IgM and IgG. The the first test tell us if there is rubella currently, and the second test tell us if there is immunity to rubella or previous infection. You have to provide me with the exact test name inorder to help you. Rubella is very dangerous on the baby. in case you have current infection.

This week i checked my blood but there was Ig M anti Rubella positive but Ig G antii Rubella negative. I wonder there was a mistake from the laboratory so i will re-checked in other laboratory. In this case. is it possible for me to get Rubella infection? I have no other symptoms so far. But i really worry about my baby and i won t come back to my doctor before i get the latest blood report. Do you have any suggestion for me?The last visit to my doctor was when my pregnancy age was 11 weeks and ultrasound tht the baby was okay, i also can hear the heart beat. Could you please tell me how risk I am ? Now I am at 24 week pregnancy. I don t know how to do now.

HI I AM 11 WEEKS PREGNANT, AT 7TH WEEK WHEN I WENT TO CONFORM PREGNANCY THEY RUN SOME TESTS ON ME AND SAID MY RUBELLA IGG AND IGM ARE POSITIVE, WHEN I ASKED MY DOCTOR ABOUT THIS SHE SAID ITS NOT A PROBLEM BECAUSE I AM IMMUNED AGAINST IT, THEY DIDN T TELL ME THE RESULT NUMBER BUT 6 MONTHS BACK I WENT TO INFERTILITY SPECIALIST FOR PREGNANCY AT THAT TIME THEY DID RUBELLA IGG TEST AND THAT RESULT IS 140. SO MY QUESTION IS IS THERE ANY THING TO WORRY OR ITS OK.
