What can be done to increase my weight ?

Problems with weight as male teenager. - No, im not overweight , im underweight! Hi Everyone. I have a very big problem, since i was very young - 9-10 years - I have always been underweight. Im turning 16 in 2 months and i weight 57kg - 120~ pounds. I have no idea why I cant take weight. Im embarrassed of myself because i feel it makes me weaker in strength. I try to weight train but I dont get anything real out of it, i just stay underweight. I try eat a lot but it doesnt help. I have been to the doc and he tells me to eat more and he cant really help me because i need to eat more. Im really desperate as i really want to be strong, healthy but im stick :(! Do you please have any suggestions what i should do? I do sports and all that kinds of activities. What food should i focus extra on? I thank you a million times for your help!

hi your weight is sufficient for height 5.3height.maintain same healthy habits.dont become obese.

for 16 yrs the weight of 57kgs should be fine if your height is 5'1" or 5'2".so there is hardly any need to put on weight .secondly as you are too young it will take time for your body to develop.your height will increase till you become 24yrs ;simultaneously you will start gaining weight due to increase in bone & muscle mass.Till then i think concentrate on exercises like running ;swimming;cycling to tone up your muscles;this will help you .please don't do weight training as of now .Don't be desperate & you will be fine ;if you try hard it will create problems for you.hope you understand.
