What Can Be Done For Sprained Ankle Having Pins And Needles And Toes Numb?
3 week ago I sprained my foot at work, i was on the late shift so i finished my shift. the day after i could not put any pressure on my foot so i went to the hospital they said i had a badly sprained ankle and advised to self cert myself for a week, i could not due to work, Now since Tuesday ive got pins and needles in my ankle and my toes are all numb and my foot is painful to stand or walk
I am so sorry to hear about this sprain that you sustained. Ankle sprain is managed with rest and pain medications. If it proves difficult to get this joint rested, then putting a cast to make sure you don't use it until it gets better.
If the pains should persist despite appropriate management, then getting some xrays done to rule out any other bony lesions before continuing treatment is encouraged.
These feelings of numbness and pains suggests that the nerves are being affected. This could be caused by inflammation or compression. Please, get this leg examined by an orthopedist surgeon to make sure all is okay.
