Hi and thank you so much for this query. I am so sorry to hear about this sprain that you sustained. Ankle sprain is managed with rest and pain medications. If it proves difficult to get this joint rested, then putting a cast to make sure you don t use it until it gets better. If the pains should persist despite appropriate management, then getting some xrays done to rule out any other bony lesions before continuing treatment is encouraged. These feelings of numbness and pains suggests that the nerves are being affected. This could be caused by inflammation or compression. Please, get this leg examined by an orthopedist surgeon to make sure all is okay.
