Hi,

The root cause of GI distress with inappropriate motility has to be evaluated along with cardiac condition to treat in accordance.

Primary working tips here would be
- regular walking, keep ambulatory
- avoid bedridden condition (after discussing with the cardiologist)
- plenty of liquids
- high fiber diet with bulk-forming laxatives as per the guidelines by a physician
- discuss the side effect of any cardiac medicine or blood thinner responsible for such issue.

Be in regular follow up with your consultant on scheduled appointments.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon

I have taken 500mg of clarithromycin X2 over 2 days for the treatment of acute bronchitis with 5 more days to complete the course. I have read the possible side effects and the normal dosage being 250mg per day. I have experienced quite a severe bad taste in my mouth since commencing this. Will not augmentin ( for which I do not have any noticeable side effects) do the same thing? Can I change to Augmentin at 250mg per day for the remaining 5 days?

I have mirena, my boyfriend had a vasectomy 8 years ago. But i have recently been having bouts of nausea, sore breasts, ive been over emotional and scatterbrained. Ive had two children previously and recognize the symptoms. We have been engaging in unprotected sex since we began dating 16 months ago. We did not believe it to be a possibility, but now im not so sure. IS it possible that i could be pregnant despite the Mirena and his vasectomy? Ive been completely faithful.

My husband had quadruple bypass 2 years ago. After the surgery, but not because of the surgery, he had blood clots that caused him to return to the emergency room. Since then he has been fine except for a tiny little wet cough that is chronic. Sometimes he has this tiny cough even when he s mid sentence. Could this have anything to do with a clogged artery or blood clot.

My Brother is in Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus Ohio. He has a problem with cervical spinal and lumbar stenosis. He had triple bypass surgery at least 20 years ago. He went to the emergency room and was admitted to the hospital. After some tests he a v Fib and was stabilizes with drugs. as the result he was transferred to the ICU. The next day they performed an angiogram and said he had a heart function of 50% and today they were to install a defibralator, but now they decieded against it and say he only has a 20% heart function and nothing can be done. Is this correct and do you have any suggestion for further treatment.

Hello - Just wondering....I am a 41 yr old female, born with an aortic stenosis. I am a healthy person, never ever go to the doctor except back in Jan 2001 I had an aortic root enlargement and aortic valve replacement with a bovine valve. I have felt awesome afterwards. I have an extremely stressful job (office work not physical) just wondering if what feels like depression, tiredness, both arms ache with physical activity. My left thumb has had two occasions last week where it was stuck in a gripped position and could not move it for a minute or two. I know I am stressed as my neck has knots and am using alot of ben gay and advil. My blood pressure is actually perfect so I am assuming that it is NOT my heart. That is what I have come to the conclusion and just wanted to double check as I don t want to go to the doctor. Wouldn t that be a good indicator that I am just fine and it is just stress?

I just took my blood pressure a few minutes ago. It was 95/65, with my heart rate being 90. I take two blood pressure meds. I have lost about 23 lbs. since January, on a low carb diet. Is it possible that the blood pressure meds are too much for me now? I also have mitral valve regurgitation, and see my cardiologist twice a year. I also started doing water aerobics three times a week, since January. I just want to make sure that this isn t too low now. Is this something I should be concerned about or is this okay?
