Hi Sir, MY 6.5 year old/21Kg son is suffering from high fever (103 f), no other symptom. No control with Crocin DS syrup (6.5 ml) and continuous sponging even after 2 hrs.. Temperature gets down only after giving meftal-p (7 ml). He is weak and usually has frequent throat infection, virul fever, cough. Since he has very sensitive digestive system hence complication due to allopathic medication. Specially due to meftal-p or ibugesic syrup. Kindly advice any other remedy to control fever if crocin DS and sponging don’t work. or which is more safe among meftal-p or ibugesic . Is shivering due to sponging is normal or it harm in some way.

18 month old with fever (101.7-103.8) only in evenings x 3 days with no other symptoms other than a slight decrease in appetite. Fevers would be evident around 8-9 pm, treated with Tylenol/ibuprofen throughout the night and gone by morning. After 3 days of this fever is gone but loss of appetite (fighting to get any food down - making sure to keep hydrated however), whiny, lethargic, prefers to be laying around and being held (typically doesn t slow down and over last week had taken 3-4 naps a day). This has been going on for an additional 4 days now. Typically has bowel movements daily, sometimes twice daily and had gone first three days without a bowel movement at all. Gave a glycerin suppository and got results. Since that day, two additional bowel movements in last 4 days. Wet diapers are sufficient. Any thoughts?

Dear Doctor, I last had a bone density scan a year ago which showed Osteopenia in my spine although hips were normal. I have an 8 history of eating disorders (mostly bulimia and only slightly underweight although irregular periods, until the past 19 months when things became more anorexic and BMI has been between 12.5-15 with no menstruation). My current concern is that following a fall a month ago I have pain in my coccyx which shows no sign of improving and I worry it may have 'crumbled' and that this is the beginning of me losing height. Is this likely? Many thanks for your help.

I like to eat a lot of food, but I never really get the time to anymore. My weight is also considered "anorexic" based on my BMI, but I have never been anorexic. And when I eat, even eat a lot, nothing happens. I don't gain any weight. So what I'm worried about is this actually turning into anorexia. What do I do?

I am anorexic and abuse laxatives. Lately I have been waking up in the middle of the night, and my heart is racing, I'm sweating and I'm shaking. I feel faint and can barely see. Because I am restricting food so severely, my first instinct is to eat something. I eat and eventually fall asleep, then wake up feeling nauseas and vomitting. What could be causing this? What can I do to reverse this.

Doctor, My name is Kristin Crofford and I am conducting a research paper for my English 102 class. An interview is required for a final draft in my research paper. My topic is based on the effects photoshopped images have on consumers. If you have time to answer a few questions it would be greatly appreciated! Are any of your patients males suffering from disorders such as Anorexia nervosa, Bulimia nervosa, etc.? Are any of your patients models struggling for approval from companies demanding a certain image? Have any of your patients specifically mentioned any magazine images, clothing catalogues, models in the fashion industry, that have contributed to their idea of what their body should look like? Do you believe photoshop is an issue in today s society that needs to be dealt with, and why? Any examples that contribute to your decision would be helpful, and understandably anonymous. Do you believe there has been an increasing rate of patients struggling from eating disorders, or self-image inferiority in the past few years? Thank you for your time, I hope to hear back from you soon!
