Hi, thanks for the query. Serenace (haloperidol) is a typical antipsychotic given for treatment for schizophrenia/psychosis & as haloperidol causes side effect in form of trembling hands, rigidity, involuntary muscle contractions (dystonia); all these collectively known as extra pyramidal side effects (EPS); a medication Pacitane (Trihexyphenidyl) is given to control these side effects. Withdrawing serenace & pacitane might cause flaring of psychotic symptoms of schiophrenia & if you stopped pacitane alone; it might cause appearence of EPS (descrbed above). Hence, kindly consult your treating doctor is you are unhappy with these medications as there are better alternativs like olanzapine, risperidone, aripiprazole etc. available for controlling symptoms of schizophrenia. Kindly dont stop any medication abruptly. Good Luck

You took very mild dose.

so it is very less chance of withdrawal symptoms after its discontinuation.

Gradually taper down over the one week period do not produce any withdrawal symptoms.

Thank you.
