What Are The Uses And Side Effects Of Pentid 400?
Hi, I am 33 year old woman.in last november, my ASO level was risen to 600 and doctor suggested to take Pentid-400 for next 2-3 years. Currently my ASO level is around 350 and I am continuing with the medicine.
My question is: Is there any problem for me or my child if I become pregnant and continue with the medicine Pentid-400.

Your A S O was 600 and after the use of "PENICILLIN " i.e. pentid 400 ( penicillin G potassium 400,000 buffered with cal carbonate ) it came down to 350 and drug is very effective.
Penicillin 400 id most effective and safe drug orally ( in your case ) as well intramuscular injections.
Even in children
Side effects are very minor ( but if react or if any one hypersensitive , very severe reaction ) but you are already using it so no chance of any side effect( usually side effect occurs on first dose).
Mild nausea , vomiting or G I discomfort may be .
In my opinion you can take this drug as advised your treating doctor and you can also get pregnancy without any untoward effect.
