What Are The Uses And Side Effects Of HCQS 200 Mg?

Hi Doctor , I have been prescribed to take HCQS 200 mg for erosive oral Lichen planus. I am on medication of Onglyza - 5 mg , Lipicure 10 mg and Cardace 5 mg. Is it ok to take HCQS alongside thse tablets. Are there any side effects. Thanks in advance and anticipation. Ravi Acharya

I appreciate your concern for the safety of Hydroxychloroquine 200 mg.

Beside Lichen planus, it is also used in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, psoriasis, etc.

Following are its important side effects:

Vomiting, abdominal pain, urticaria, hair fall, bleaching of the hairs headache, confusion.

Eye toxicity like corneal opacities, retinal damage may also occur for that
periodic ophthalmologic (eye) monitoring is mandatory after every 12 months.
