What Are The Uses And Side Effects Of Femilon Tablet?

Hi, I have stopped taking femilon(21 days) after taking it for 6 months. I got my last periods on 3rd Aug 2014(august month after my period i stopped taking femilon) I have not got my periods till now. is there a necessity of going for a pregnancy test. how long it takes for the body to adjust to normal cycle after stopping femilon. Please guide.

Hello there.
Thank you for the question. Femilon is an oral contraceptive medicine which works only when you take it and once stopped usually it had no effect. Rarely the hormones may become very low and it may cause this delayed period. But you should get a pregnancy test done and confirm that you are not pregnant as you were not on Femilon for the entire month and there is a chance of pregnancy. It may take 1-2 month's time for body to produce hormones at normal levels after stopping Femilon. So you not getting your period could also mean that your hormones are at very low levels but do not take that risk and get a urine pregnancy test done.
