What Are The Two Circular Lesions On The Neck?

My daughter has two raised half-circle spots on her neck. They re kind of itchy and we just noticed them yesterday. It looks like part of the outer ring of ringworm but that s it, no other marks or spreading anywhere else near the raised area. One is about one inch in length and the other is a bit smaller. Any idea what it could be?

Hello. Thanks for writing to us at healthcaremagic

Judging from your description I will keep a likely possibility of fungal infection/Tinea corporis. Itching and morphology of the lesions go in favor of fungal infection.
You may try an OTC topical antifungal e.g clotrimazole 1% cream for her, twice daily for 4 weeks
An OTC oral antihistamine e.g cetrizine syp, once daily would provide her symptomatic relief from itching.
If the lesions don't improve as expected, review with a dermatologist for a confirmatory diagnosis and appropriate treatment.

Regards
