What Are The Treatments For Loose Motion, Constipation And Fever?

i am getting loose stools with foul smell along with constipation atleast feel like going to toilet after having meals probably after two hours... this had started just after my fever attack which had subsided with general doctors medical care but constipation and loose stools with foul smells and farts frequently is cause of concern.. can u help

Hi,

I noted the history of loose stools with foul smell, feeling like going to toilet after food, probably after 2 hours. This problem started after treatment for fever. I would advise you the following in such a situation:

- Get the stool tests for a few days to get the results guiding the treatment. Tests of blood and urine. Ultrasonography. A course of an antibiotic active against intestinal infection. Activated charcoal and probiotics. Plenty of oral fluids and electral solution will help you.

- Ultrasonography may show any other inflammation in the intestines. CT can may be required to know about diverticulitis and such diseases that is giving you the feeling to visit the toilet.
