I have had diarrhea for more than two days and my stomach hurts.I went to the doctor and they said it was depression. In the time of the bowel movement it s not three times a day.It happens the entire day. I am still in school so this is a problem for me because I m missing days because I m too busy on the toilet.

Hello,

You can take Loperamide or Bismuth Subsalicylate (Pepto-Bismol), stay well hydrated, take adequate water & ORS to help maintain the K, Na electrolyte balance of your body. Avoid getting dehydrated. If you are feeling tired or fatigued visit ER, take medications under a consultant & get intravenous support (intravenous fluids & injections) to get well faster.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
