Hello and welcome to HCM,
In
hysterosalpingography (
HSG) test , a dye is introduced in the
uterine cavity which flows into the fallopian tubes and then into the abdominal cavity because the fallopian tubes communicate with the abdominal cavity.
In your test the dye enters the uterine cavity and flows from the right fallopian tube into the abdominal cavity.
Thus, the right fallopian tube is patent and within normal limits.
The dye enters the left fallopian tube also, however, it does not enter the abdominal cavity.
This implies that the end of the left fallopian tube which is called fimbriae is blocked.
Blockage of the fimbrial end can be congenital (since birth), due to pelvic inflammatory diseases (PID) or adhesions.
The management of the condition is surgical wherein the blockage will be opened.
You need to consult your gynaecologist for further management.
However, you can still conceive since one of the tubes is absolutely normal.
Thanks and take care
