suffering from constipation from a long time and as per our last doctor, my son's interstines both small and large interstines were blocked due to constipation as his urine was also stopped for a small time but was again fine after medication. This all happened last month.
** 1. since it was Gastrointestinal complication which got relieved after medicines and Emergency procedures, thus looks to be bowel obstruction, also hard stool in the rectum may push against the bladder and urethra, causing the urethra to shut and since he is suffering from a long time [chronic], thus probably one has to rule out the most common causes of constipation i.e. not drinking enough fluids, lack of fiber in the diet and taking pain medications.
PS. Your Doctor may order diagnostic tests like CT scans and x-rays, as well as an abdominal and rectal exam in order to determine what exactly is going on and through the digestive tract. Once a diagnosis has been determined, he can then treat the condition.
