What Are The Tiny Bubble Like Feeling In My Throat?

When I lie down and breathe in and out it feels like there are tiny bubbles in my throat. I can hear them popping if I open my mouth. I then start to cough as a reflux to the sensation. I have had a chest infection for the past week and am asthmatic. It only occurs when I lie down and as a result is disrupting my sleep.

Hello,

I understand your problem. Most likely you have had a Lower respiratory tract infection, and your windpipe might be affected. Its so sensitive now, that even your inhaling of air will cause cough reflex.Moreso, if you are an asthmatic. In such cases, i would prescribe, antihistamines, mucolytics,Bronchodilators, PPIs and may be nebulisation of budecort. But since all these are prescriptions, I advice you to take the opinion of a ent doctor...
