What Are The Symptoms Of Warts?

Just discovered a past partner i used to sleep with has genital warts. Excellent. It was 6 years ago since i slept with him, and it seems the girls he passed it to were all after i slept with him. I was diagnosed with LS and occasionally get small lesions/splits in my vulva when i have a flair up, but these are very rare. Now im worried i could be carrying warts and perhaps these arent lesions at all! Can i be tested when there is no outer signs, and am i obliged to tell this to potential partners seeing as I ve never actually been diagnosed with the warts? Ive had std checks since this guy and never had any abnormal results.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Warts are caused by the HPV viral infection.

There are tests that can detect this virus if you wish to be tested. You can discuss this option with your doctor though if present you would likely have either warts or changes to the cervix (detectable with your pap smears).

I hope this helps
