What are the symptoms of tumor in testicles?

There is a 6cm mass in my right testicle, urologist said that there is a 50 percent chance that its a tumor and the testicle needs to be removed to find out if it is or not, when he saw the blood test he said i had elevated levels of something and he said more sure its a tumor. I dont want my testicle removed to then find out it is not a tumor, how can I be more assured if it is or not before having surgery, should i get another opinion or see an oncologist or another type of doctor?

Urologist 's  Response
Hello
Thanks for query .
Assuming that you have done ultrasound scanning of scrotum and mass of a size of 6 cms in testicle was revealed and Urologist has diagnosed it to be a Testicular Tumor .

The testicular tumor presents with a mass which may be with pain or painless .

Being a Urologist he is more experienced to diagnose such tumors and there are less chances of it to be wrong .He has rightly diagnosed it after careful clinical examination and which is supported by and confirmed on scanning ..

However you can get it confirmed by getting Fine Needle Aspiration Biopsy and taking second opinion of Oncologist

This will help to allay your anxiety and confirm the diagnosis .

Please note removal of the testis is the only treatment option for Testicular Tumor.
