What Are The Symptoms Of Tendonitis On The Fingers?

My right index finger bothers me. This has been going on for months. It s worst in the morning. There was some improvement when I stopped playing computer games, which involved a lot of mousing. Does this sound like tendenitis, osteo arthritis, or rheumatoid arthritis?

Hi, I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.

It sounds to me more like tendinitis especially if just one finger is involved and if there is pain during extension and flexion of the finger. Ariritis would go more with involvement of other fingers and wrist joint. Rheumatoid as well. I suggest to rest strictly with arm foe 3-4 days, apply cold compresses and take ibuprofenum 400mg twice daily with water. In severe cases, cast immobilization may be required or additional testing with EMG or MRI scan.
Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.

Wishing you good health.
