What Are The Symptoms Of Plantar Fasciitis?

What are the symptoms of the onset of plantar fasciatis? The Sensitivity in my heels (one in particular) started several weeks ago and within one day is quite painful. I normally walk up to 3-5 miles 4-6 times per a week. Walking tapered to 1-2 miles for ~10days. After walking 4 miles today, my left heel is quite sensitive/painful (5 -6 in scale to 10) when weight or pressure is applied. No relief fron 2/200mg. ibuprofen tabs. Thank you.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to plantar fascitis. I suggest using anti-inflammatory medication such as Ibuprofen three times a day.

I also suggest using an anti-inflammatory cream such as Voltaren cream for local application. I also recommend gentle stretching exercises.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
