Pediatrician 's  Response
Hello,

There seem to be two possibilities in your case according to me. Either you may have a learning disability or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Even in ADHD, the symptoms which you mentioned maybe there. I would suggest you see a developmental pediatrician and get yourself evaluated for the ADHD as well as a learning disability.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Meera Kotecha

Psychologist Dr. K. V. Anand's  Response
Hello,

Many children have difficulty with reading, writing, or other learning-related tasks at some point, but it does not mean they have learning disabilities. A child with a learning disability often has several related signs, and these persist over time. The signs of learning disabilities vary from person to person. Common signs that a person may have learning disabilities include the following:
-Difficulty with reading and writing.
-Problems with math skills.
-Difficulty remembering.
-Problems paying attention.
-Trouble following directions.
-Poor coordination.
-Difficulty with concepts related to time.
-Problems staying organized.

These signs alone are not enough to determine that a person has a learning disability. A professional assessment is necessary to diagnose a learning disability. Therefore, I suggest you consult a psychologist to conduct a learning disability test on your child.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. K. V. Anand
