What Are The Symptoms Of Hamerroids?

Hi, when I went to the bathroom this morning there was bright red blood on the toilet paper when I wiped. When I wiped again there was none. This has happened before about 8 months ago but then I had pain so assumed it was a tear or hamerroids, it stopped after a couple of weeks and I have had nothing since. Should I be worried?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello dear

Warm welcome to Healthcaremagic.com
I have evaluated your query in details .

* The blood in stool can be with fissure or hemorrhoid .

* Fissure is more likely associated with
- burning after or during passage of stool - itching - visible tear at anal
opening .
* Hemorrhoid is more likely associated with
- protrusion of mass from anus when passing stool - vague discomfort
- externally remaining mass only in 3 rd degree stage .

* Needs confirmation via proctoscope evaluation with consultant surgeon .

Hope this will help to clear your doubt .
Wishing you fine recovery .

Regards .
