Hi,I am Dr. Santosh Kondekar (Pediatrician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, my son is 16 month old and he has developed a rash since Friday, on his stomach front area and spreading around the back now. It looks like heat lumps/sweat rash, but some of the spots are now turning out with blister like lumps on, so I am thinking he maybe has chicken pox ?
usually, chicken pox presents with rashes and FEVER. if ur kid developed fever before the rashes came out, your kid most probably has chicken pox (basing on the way you describe the rashes). If with no fever, you might be dealing with another entity (probably allergy). Also, did your kid have chicken pox shots?
sincerely,
Mark Rosario General Pediatrics/Pediatric Pulmonology
