What Are The Symptoms Of Bronchitis?

I caught the flu 6 days ago and have respiratory tightness, thick dark congestion that seems to be improving somewhat and a near constant cough. I assumed I have bronchitis, but today I’ve been coughing blood several times. Are my lungs inflamed and is there an inhaler or something that I should use to heal them? Not a fan of coughing up blood.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello! Welcome to HealthcareMagic!

There I have read through your question and understand your concern. Coughing blood is not a good sign and you should get your self checked by a physician as soon as possible. Though it can be due to constant cough may sometimes lead to tearing the respiratory lining causing blood in sputum but if it happens regularly it may be an indication of a more serious condition. The physician may run some tests like X-Ray and CT chest and also some blood tests. Your further line of treatment will depend on the diagnosis.

I hope that answers your question. If you have any further questions please feel free to write. Thank you for choosing healthcare magic.

Take care

Regards,
