What Are The Symptoms Of Asthma?

My 16 year-old daughter, Natalie, is a soccer player. She is very sensitive to heat; experiences rising bdy temp, sweating and headaches. She has occasional chest pain and palpitations. Was given an EKG three years ago - normal. She has exercise induced asthma and takes Cingular and Albuterol which control it well.
Her family doctor does not seem particularly concerned as she has had these symptoms for years and is otherwise very healthy.
Can asthma and/or its treatment produce some or all of these symptoms? Would you recommend another EKG? or any other diagnostic exam?
Many thanks,
Natalie's dad

hi welcome to hcm,
most common symptom of asthma is dyspnea means shortness of breath, chest tightness, coughing,Still, not every person with asthma has the same symptoms in the same way. You may not have all of these symptoms, or you may have different symptoms at different times. Your asthma symptoms may also vary from one asthma attack to the next, being mild during one and severe during another.
thank you
