What Are The Symptoms Of Appendicitis?

Hi my 23 ya daughter has had lower abdonimal pain since Monday night, she visited our doctor on Tuesday morning and he prescribed pain killers, these did not assist and we took her to the emergency dept they did a blood test and said that something was going on but the particular test they did was " non specific" they ruled out pregnancy and did an inernal for ovarian cysts, they thought it might be early stage appendicitis but sent her home as it is too early to do anything else.

Hello. I just read through your question.
Appendicitis can start as generalized abdominal pain that, over time, localizes to the right lower part of the abdomen. It is typically accompanied by fever and vomiting. From the time of the onset of symptoms until the appendix ruptures is approximately 36-48 hours. So if the symptoms have been going on for longer than this, it is not appendicitis and another diagnosis should be considered.
