Hi,I am Dr. Radhakrishna (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, i am a 14 year old male and i just had an appendectomy and i have been having some pain on the right side of the chest basically the right of the heart. It hurts when i get up and move and it throbs, hurting whenever the heart beats. It goes away when i lay on my back but not before i feel something. Why is this happening, i heard it may be a problem related to gas.
Hi. Such type of pain is not related to the Appendectomy or gases . This is quite classical of a condition called costo-chondritis. Take a course of anti-inflammatory medicines. Apply rubrafacient ( locally making warmth ) liniments. Avoid strenuous work which can pull on the chest and such muscles.
