What Are The Symptoms Of RSV In A Child?

Hi! My four year old is blond and has very pale skin and frequently has darkness under his eyes. It seems he always has a sinus infection that goes into an ear infection. When he was two, he got so sick with what the Dr. said, might be RSV, that he was so lethargic for nearly a week. Sleeping all the time. My aunt, an RN, said she saw kids admitted that were more active than him. So scary. Also, he wakes up almost every night...has been urinating constantly this afternoon (four times in an hour with a lot of urine...all clear and non-odorous) and is very irritable with frequent, irrational crying and physical violence (punching, scratching etc.) towards other family members.

You may notice your child's chest muscles and skin pull inward with each breath. This is a sign that he or she is struggling to breathe. Other signs and symptoms of severe RSV infection in infants include:

Short, shallow and rapid breathing
Cough
Poor feeding
Unusual tiredness (lethargy)
Irritability.
