What Are The Symptoms And Treatment For Migraine?

I have a 15 year old daughter that has been home from school sick the last 2 days.. I thought she had caught a bug but my husband took her to a walk in treatment center and they are treating her for migraines.. Migraines run on my side of the family so should I start looking for a doctor for her now or should I wait?

Hello
It seems from the history that your fifteen year old daughter is having headache and diagnosed ad migraine.
Migraine is one of the common type of headache and it presents with recurrent attacks of headache associated with nausea or vomiting or dizziness. Some tines prodromal symptoms like flickering of lights or flashes of light or blurring of vision or colored halos are present.
The treatment is by using analgesics and ergot alkaloids in acute phase.
Recurrent attacks require use of prophylactic drugs like flunarizine.

Thank you
