Symptoms of hypothyroidism includes dry skin, feeling cold, hair loss, tiredness, constipation, weight gain, hoarse voice etc. This is treated with levothroxin with initial dose from 50mcg to 100mcg for 3 weeks, later more 20mcg is increased for another 3 weeks. Minimum 6weeks is required to check for TSH levels after that depending upon its levels maintenance dose is given then all the symptoms will be resolved.
