Hello,
Welcome to HCM,

Rotavirus is a virus that infects the bowels and it is the most common cause of severe diarrhea among infants and children.

The symptoms of rotavirus infection are
Lethargy
Dry and cool skin
Absence of tears when crying
Dry and sticky mouth.
Sunken eyes
Extreme thirst.

Most unvaccinated children become infected with rotavirus by age of 3 years.

There is no specific treatment for rotavirus and it is a self-limited illness, lasting for only a few days. The treatment includes increased fluid intake and oral rehydration salt solution to prevent dehydration.
Thank you.
