What Are The Side Effects Of Using Nuvaring?

I am 27y/o, 5'5, 223lbs. I have not taken nuvaring for two months now. the first month i was off, I had all symptoms of pregnancy including numb hands and fingers. I ended up having my period three weeks late. Same feelings, shorter flow. Now I have headaches, my nose is sensitive to smell, i feel fatigued and some days really hungry but others my fiance makes me eat. My question is, could these be the same symptoms of nuvaring or is something else going on here?

Hi,
The withdrawal effects of Nuvaring include menstrual disturbances such as those you are experiencing now. Return of ovulation can occur as early as three weeks after discontinuation of the ring but sometimes it may take longer. If you do not get off these symptoms in the next month also, please see a specialist for a complete evaluation, confirm/exclude pregnancy through blood test and a trans-vaginal sonogram and plan further management. Please maintain a healthy weight. Take care.
